Thankful Thursday began as a way to incorporate gratitude. It can be aimed at any area/aspect of your life. Being thankful encourages us to use a conscious mind, and make an effort, to think about what we can/should be grateful for.
In positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.
There are simple ways in which we can always express gratitude towards others. Some examples are:
- Thank You Cards
- Be an active listener
- Be thoughtful of others
- Be patient
- Listen to your heart
